I’m Clara Encinas, a freelance illustrator and graphic designer based in Spain.

I mainly work with graphite and traditional media, creating illustrations inspired by literature, science, nature, and everyday life. I’m especially interested in editorial illustration, publishing, and illustrated books.

I’m drawn to the tactile quality of graphite and the way it can suggest softness, fragility, silence, or memory. Although my process is meticulous, I’m less interested in pure realism than in creating atmosphere, narrative, and images that feel alive.

When I’m not drawing, I’m usually reading, watching films, or getting lost in astronomy and physics books.
